Asin shoots with Dhoni

With Asin’s popularity soaring high, she is now the brand ambassador for many products. The latest in her kitty is for the chain of superstores, Big Bazaar. Incidentally, cricketer MS Dhoni has also been signed up for the same brand.

While Asin was so far seen only on the print ads of Big Bazaar, the superstore had planned a TV commercial now. The duo shot for a commercial recently together in the Film City in Mumbai. The ad was shot for an entire day with both Asin as well as Dhoni sporting several costumes throughout the day. The commercial is expected to be aired sometime during the mid-August.

Asin seeking plum roles in Bollywood?

Asin, who shot to fame in Bollywood with Ghajini, has just one film in hand at the moment (London Dreams opposite Salman Khan). Several big producers had approached her with their projects, but the actress had turned them down as she was very choosy about her roles.

Asin was to start work on 19th Step directed by Bharat Bala, but unfortunately, after Kamal Haasan pulled out of the project, it has now been shelved indefinitely.

She is now on the lookout for interesting projects in Bollywood and is hoping to bag some meaty roles soon. Meanwhile, competition is hotting up with the entry of several new faces in Bollywood.

Trisha, the latest addition from Kollywood, will soon be seen in a comedy flick opposite Akshay Kumar.

No films for Asin in Bollywood

Asin who rose to great heights in Bollywood because of the great success of Ghajini is now without any films for the past two months. There was Asin fever after the release of Ghajini. Big producers and actors had approached her to work in their films. Producers were waiting at her doorsteps for her call sheet with the money. But she never cared about it. She only selected London Dreams which had Salman Khan in the lead. She also gave her call sheet for the English film 19 Steps which had Kamal Haasan in the cast. Asin’s father sent back the producers and directors who had come for her call sheet by saying that Asin is busy for one year. Asin also earned the wrath of other actresses.
In a short span of time she brought herself a house in Mumbai. But things have drastically changed a lot when 19 Steps was dropped. Asin also took a lot of training in Kalari arts in Kerala to act in this film. She also sustained injuries during this training. She is in a great shock now because this film has been shelved permanently. She refused to act in other films because of this film. Now nobody is in search of her. For the last two months she is idling. Now she is sending people to producers requesting for chance. But they have replied that they had signed other actresses and commenced the shooting. Now actresses like Trisha have forayed into Bollywood and this is a great challenge for Asin now. Now she is considering acting in Tamil films.

Asin stalked at Singapore!

Well, Asin seems to be spelling controversy wherever she goes. The latest we hear is that the actress, who was on a whirlwind tour to Singapore, was stalked by a diehard fan of hers, who was actually from Indore.

One of her most dedicated fans; the guy got to Singapore and followed her everywhere. The actress got to notice this man, who followed her to every place, and was surprised to observe that he pushed himself ahead of other fans and security guards to stand by her side and take photographs with her, without her knowledge.

In fact, he even convinced people that he knew her from before and tried to meet her at all places. The actress, who got miffed at this stalker, was tensed when she had to leave Singapore, as she was scared on encountering him at the Airport. Thankfully, the fan seemed to have given that place a miss and the actress was nothing short of relieved to be in the comfort of her Mumbai house, back in the country.
